ITS Internship Application

Thank you for your interest in the University of Michigan Information and Technology Services Internship Program. Applications for the 2026 program are now open. Apply before February 8, 2026. 

Qualifications

To be considered for the ITS Internship Program, you must:

• Be a currently enrolled student at a U.S. college, university, or certificate-granting program for the duration of the program.
  • If you are a non-UM-Ann Arbor international student, you are required to apply for CPT or OPT in your respective campuses.
  • If you are a current UM-Ann Arbor international student, you do not need to apply for CPT.
• Have authorization and availability to work 40 hours per week for the entire duration of the Internship Program.
• Be able to commute to Ann Arbor, Michigan, at least two times per week to work at an on-campus location.
• Be available for the full duration of the program (May 7 to August 7, 2026).

Please submit only one application to the program. If you make a mistake on your application, please email ITS-internship-planning@umich.edu for a link to resubmit your application.

New Applicants

Applications are now open for the ITS Internship Program. The form will be available until February 8, 2026. New applicants are required to submit a resume and cover letter in PDF format.

Returning Applicants

If you would like to return this summer after having previously been an intern, submit an application using the returning applicant form. A resume and cover letter are still required.
